  • Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko Stan Lee recalls turning to Steve Ditko, who developed a visual style Lee found satisfactory. Ditko recalled: One of the first things I did was to work up a costume. A vital, visual part of the character. I had to know how he looked ... before I did any breakdowns. For example: A clinging power so he wouldn't have hard shoes or boots, a hidden wrist-shooter versus a web gun and holster, etc. I wasn't sure Stan would like the idea of covering the character's face but I did it because it hid an obviously boyish face. It would also add mystery to the character.” Peter Parker, who one day turns into Spiderman, after having a radioactive spider bite him at a science exhibit, having to deal with the normal struggles of adolescence in addition to those of a costumed crime fighter. Spider-Man's creators gave him super strength and agility, the ability to cling to most surfaces, shoot spider-webs using wrist-mounted devices of his own invention which he called "web-shooters", and react to danger quickly with his "spider-sense", enabling him to combat his foes. This version of Spiderman is portrayed on the screen by actor Andrew Garfield in the Amazing Spiderman in 2012.

    Ultimate Spiderman

Still created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko but with new writing by Brain Michael Bendis Peter Parker in this version is a fifteen years old. He goes on a field trip to Osborn Industries where an infected spider with the OZ drug bites him. He thinks he is going to die but instead starts to produce new abilities such as the ability to shoot webbing and crawl on walls. This was the first set of the Spiderman movies (1,2,3) which Tobey Maguire played the webslinger.

    Spiderman 2099

The same creators (Stan Lee and Steve Ditko) but Peter David and Rick Leonardi sent the “Webhead” into the future. This new version of Spiderman was to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the character. The person behind the mask this time is not Peter Parker but Miguel O'Hara Miguel eventually becomes head of the genetics program of Alchemax, intended to create new corporation-controlled super-powered soldiers called "corporate raiders." Miguel is specifically inspired by surviving records concerning Spider-Man and hopes to one day create a similarly powered person. But after a human test subject dies during an early experiment, Miguel tells Tyler Stone he wishes to resign from Alchemax and discontinue his genetics research. After Miguel turns on the machine to rewrite his DNA, his jealous subordinate Aaron Delgado sabotages the machines, causing them to alter Miguel's genetic code to be "50% spider DNA." Miguel survives the process, but realizes he now has spider-abilities. After going through this change, Miguel has all the original power of both Ultimate and the original Spiderman but he also has some new ones. He has enhanced sight and hearing. He also has the abilities to heal faster and also has longed talons as finger. Finally his last power is in his bite, which venom is present.
